How the iMac Saved Apple
fyi, there's a recent rerelease/port of bugdom for modern OSes, ambrosia open sourced it: https://github.com/jorio/bugdom

Looking back, I should have selected “I’m not ready for the Internet” and never have connected to it
The original retail version from 1999 or the modern port from GitHub?

Bugdom remastered (PC/Mac)
- Bugdom (and other Pangea Software games) Officially Open Sourced, would be a great fit for PSP with a native port?
- GitHub - jorio/Bugdom: 🐛 Pangea Software's Bugdom for modern systems - How can we upscale this classic game?

A 20-inch G4 iMac. These are so rare.
The source code for Bugdom has been released and remastered for modern systems. It natively runs directly on modern computers, no emulator or virtual machine required!

"digital hoarding" could be an increasing problem
For sure. That’s why I am even more thankful for guys like Brian from Pangeasoft who OpenSourced his classic iMac games and a developer actually ported these to modern windows/MacOS/Linux system with custom new written renderer etc.: https://github.com/jorio/Bugdom

[RELEASE] Bugdom port
Initial release of Bugdom, Pangea Software's classic Mac game, ported to Vita. The port is based on Iliyas Jorio's modern desktop version of Bugdom and VitaGL.
-
I still use my G4 as an iTunes machine in my (A/C cooled) large shed/workshop, what do you all love to do with your vintage machines?
With that being said, a fan named Iliyas Jorio managed to get Bugdom and some of Pangea's other games like Nanosaur and Otto Matic to run on modern macOS and Windows 11. They are near perfect builds, and they're free. Here: https://github.com/jorio/Bugdom
