Manifest V3: should we really be worried?
You can use a dll patcher like https://github.com/Ceiridge/Chrome-Developer-Mode-Extension-Warning-Patcher to re-enable webRequestBlocking extension API for Manifest V3 extensions on Chromium browsers
-
Let's build a Chrome extension that steals everything
I'm surprised that this exception exists, and without an end date. Perversely, because they refuse to allow blocking webrequest even for local testing, anyone trying to use it to build one of those force-installed extensions has to resort to measures like hot-patching the browser at runtime, which, conveniently, also allows consumers to bypass this restriction anyway.

uBlock on MV3
The blocking webRequest API will supposedly remain available in Brave and Vivaldi even once they move to MV3. In addition, it will be available in Chrome for anyone using https://github.com/Ceiridge/Chrome-Developer-Mode-Extension-Warning-Patcher though they will have to download the unpacked extension (or possibly crx) themselves.

How hard it is to customize chromium browser UI?
Here's an interesting thread I found: https://github.com/Ceiridge/Chrome-Developer-Mode-Extension-Warning-Patcher/issues/21

Will ublock be affected by manifest v3?
Chrome will apparently continue to support blocking webRequest for enterprise extensions. Presumably this Chrome patcher could be modified to make it work with all extensions though you would have to get them from elsewhere such as Opera's addon site (or Brave, if they come up with their own).
- Any way to remove context-menu options for "Create QR Code …" ?

Anyone else sick and tired of seeing this popup? Weren't we told we would get the option to disable it in June? Where is it?
in the meantime, this works really well for me
