    I believe this step would be an alternative to getting root on the device (as instructed here: https://github.com/qwerty12/inkPalm-5-EPD105-root). I didn’t see these instructions initially, so I’m assuming it’s not necessary since the instructions I used for uninstalling did the same job. (Again: not tech savvy so idk).

    If it's the Chinese Moann 5.2" device that CECT-Shop sells we're talking about, then yes, the InkPalm 5. If you're running the exact same firmware version (very important it's the same) that the pre-patched Magisk zip offers then rooting is simple - just sideload the zip in recovery.
