Experimental Cycles Metal backend: 3.3x speedup on M1
https://github.com/luciascarlet/blender-metal/releases/tag/3.1.0-Metal Just did, but it's not signed or anything so you'll probably have to codesign it to get macOS to not complain about it. If this doesn't work, building should be relatively straightforward even for non-developers though if you follow Blender's own guide.
