Chrome's next weapon in the War on Ad Blockers: Slower extension updates
It's called Sideload XPI, iirc Firefox Nightly allows you to sideload XPI if you enable Experimental by tapping Firefox logo in About 7 times.
But it's easier with Ice Raven or Smart Cookie Web Preview:

Alternative to Kiwi browser that can sideload addons from third party websites
Instead, I recommend SmartCookieWeb Preview. It is derived from Firefox and features sideloading. Note, it has a similarly sparse update cadence to Kiwi and you will have to manually download new releases. https://github.com/CookieJarApps/SmartCookieWeb-Preview/releases

Bypass Paywalls repository is gone
They didn't purge the xpi download repository, so you can still download the latest XPI package signed by Mozilla:

Bypass Paywalls Clean (but it's not available on Mozilla's add-on store, but you can manually install it on FF by opening the .xpi file with Firefox, from here)
