Applying new cursor themes not working
I'm running i3wm 4.22 on top of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, I have installed lxappearance and want to change my cursor to Bibata. Bibata-Modern-Amber shows up in the lxappearance menu so it's installed correctly but when I hit apply I only get the cursor on empty desktop space. When I reset my instance of i3 (mod+shift+r) and that resets my cursor to the default (which appears to be a Mate variant). I have also done a sudo reboot and it leads to the same result.

Custom cursor issue in Linux
Hello, I'm using Firefox on Debian (with wayland). Today, I've changed my cursor to a custom cursor theme, but it caused errors in firefox: The cursors changes randomly of "type", sometimes it becomes another cursors family... It was extremely buggy. So I changed my settings to return to my default cursor, hoping that it would solve the problem, but it didn't. I searched on the internet , but I didn't find any solution. But i found that's a gdk error: when I run it in the terminal, it prints that:

What do I do with an Xcursor file?
I am learning how to do some theming and I have run into an issue with trying to convert a custom cursor used previously on windows from .ani to a format usable on linux. using win2xcur i was able to turn the .ani into an xcursor file but I am stuck at the next step of making gnome-tweaks or terminal recognize the file. I know it needs to go in usr/share/icons, but since it's not a .theme file, it's not viable as a selection i guess. How can i turn an xcursor file into a .theme file? is there another script for this? or am i missing something else in the process?
