Oh The Biomes You'll Go [1.18+] Configuration Explain
For these have "variant" suffix: overworld biome generation is based on 6 parameters, including Weirdness. If weirdness value is greater than 0, the generated biome becomes weirder. Therefore, you can config one byg biome to replace one normal vanilla biome or the weird biome. If weirdness value is greater than 0, byg mod will use normal selector config(filename without variant suffix). Otherwise, it will use variant config. e.g. in peak_biomes_1.json5, "byg:howling_peaks" will replace "minecraft:jagged_peaks"(weirdness < 0) and "minecraft:frozen_peaks"(weirdness >= 0).

BYG on 1.19.4?
Looks like last changes on the github 1.19 branch was a month ago for forge and 3 weeks for fabric. Mojang has started making much larger changes under the hood on later minor versions in preparation for the next update which is making some mods take a lot more effort to update to these versions.

ATM SoP 2 - Tree farm breaks itself
Is it related to this issue? It looks like ATM SoP 2 is using BYG 1.2.8, but the issue with tree generation in BYG was fixed in 1.2.9. You could try manually updating the version of Oh The Biomes You'll Go to fix that - though it's probably also worth putting on the modpack's issues tracker too.

FTB Endeavour tree farm woes
It's an issue with Oh The Biomes You'll Go's large tree variants. Here's the relevant issue. It's fixed in the mod, but you'll either need to wait for the pack to update or manually replace the mod in the meantime.

I've completely overhauled how monsters spawn in my modpack with InControl, and I want to share what I've done with it. [1.12.2]
Finally, How on earth am I implementing all this? Well it's primarily through 'In Control' and 'Biometweaker'. I use Biometweaker as that's the best way to remove vanilla monsters spawns, basically making a clean slate to start from. If I only used 'In Control' I'd have to manually disable all spawns in the config file, which checks each and every spawn as it comes up. This actually seems to cause a sizeable increase in RAM or CPU usage, so it's best to offload as much work from 'In Control' as possible. Also, when re-adding mobs through BiomeTweaker I can set their 'spawn weight's more specifically, which I can't do with 'In Control' unless I'm adding a new mob to an area. The Biometweaker part is not that involved so I'll just link the github wiki for you to look at if you want.
