Storage boxes? Moveable Containers Mod doesn't let you make them, but you can pick up other containers you find and move them to your base.

It's a good idea to get an autoclicker so you can pick up/transfer a large amount of items quickly
Turns out this is one, dropping stackable items as stacks. The mod Place From Inventory (github link) allows you to drop item stacks as stacks (or splits of stacks).
