I'm gonna ask a stupid question
There's a Windows version without pre installed apps, they call it Windows light or something. You can search for "Windows without bloatware" there are numerous websites you can visit and read up on details what is safe to actually get rid off. There's also a software on Github which does this automatically. See this

- when i create a to-do list or project with a deadline, can i use emacs to remind myself of that deadline outside of emacs itself (so it'll show up as a notification on my computer), or do i have to just make it a habit to open emacs every day?
