Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

What is the best way to launch a full stack app (MERN, MEAN, PERN, PEVN, etc...) on a blockchain or decentralized solution?
Here are some other apps running on skynet: https://github.com/SkynetLabs/Awesome-Homescreen

News broke that 25 DeFi apps are scheduled to go offline in April, leaving communities scrambling on how to move forward. We wrote a piece on our solution to one of web3's most central points of failure - frontends. Give it a read đź‘€

How much Siacoin are you guys holding?
This is planned to be built on Skynet. Remember Sia is essentially just the storage backend which powers Skynet. Things like DEX's, apps and coinswaps are built on Skynet. In fact there are already a number of coin swaps which can be used on Skynet via Homescreen. Two coin swaps for you to check out are Uniswap and Pancake Swap. There are a number others which can be found on Skynet Labs Awesome-Homescreen repo.

Sia Gets Added To RClone | 2.89 PB That Might Get Utilized
Good think Sia isn't just cloud storage then hey? It is also the storage backbone to a completely decentralized internet, Skynet. . Skynet is up and running right now and doesn't require anyone to know anything about crypto to develop on, or use apps. To also not only can you begin developing on it today without needing to buy or hold crypto, but you are also able to host your application on it for fee at https://siasky.net. I also recommend you try the new web-based operating system, SkyOS. Once you have signed up you can then find lots of apps to try out here.
- Fully decentralized “home screen” on Skynet Labs. “Aave, Arbitrum Bridge, Balancer, Compound, ENS Manager, Gnosis Safe, Osmosis, PancakeSwap, Swapr, Uniswap. All things you can run on Homescreen to have decentralized control of your frontend in DeFi.”- David Vorick

How to be prepared for a web3 world?
Depends on the application. You can launch a client rendered website on Skynet with great ease. Literally drag and drop your web app and its deployed on a decentralized network. Then just setup domain pointers HNS, ENS and your good to go.

“With HTTP, you search for locations. With IPFS, you search for content.”
https://siasky.net/ and https://docs.siasky.net/
IPFS has chosen an architecture which fundamentally keeps it non-performant, Skynet is built from the ground up in a different way, and gets 10-100x improvements on performance for content-addressed links, and 100-1000x improvements on performance for dynamic lookups (IPNS)

How can one use Skynet directly? Not through a portal
From a developer's guide on how to operate a portal:
What are some alternatives?
skynet-cli - a lightweight cli to interact with Skynet
OutNet - OutNet is a Distributed Services Framework. It provides peer discovery and UPnP router port forwarding. OutNet - you are the internet!
Peergos - A p2p, secure file storage, social network and application protocol
Bitwarden - The core infrastructure backend (API, database, Docker, etc).
luds - lnurl specifications
homescreen - Homescreen provides a way for users to save fully decentralized, immutable versions of application front-ends.
iiab - Internet-in-a-Box - Build your own LIBRARY OF ALEXANDRIA with a Raspberry Pi !
Go IPFS - IPFS implementation in Go [Moved to: https://github.com/ipfs/kubo]
ts-odd - An SDK for building apps with decentralized identity and storage.
did-core - W3C Decentralized Identifier Specification v1.0
