Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How do I power the on-board RGB LED?
And for a quick test code here is the adafruit neopixel test blink script using the board definitions https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Learning_System_Guides/blob/main/CircuitPython_Templates/neopixel_blink_one_pixel/code.py

MatrixPortal M4 Moon Phase Clock direct copy/paste into code.py, Doesn't execute properly
On line 129 of the code on GitHub the `struct_time’ is being initialised with 9 arguments, but the CircuitPython docs and the crash info suggest that it’s expecting a tuple of 9 values. Can you just throw some parenthesis around the arguments in that call and see if it’s happy ?

Welcome to a Joint AMA with some of the Developers for CircuitPython and MicroPython: Python for MicroControllers!
Since we (Adafruit) started working on MicroPython, we've evolved our version of it, called CircuitPython, into the easiest way to get started programming microcontrollers. In CircuitPython we've focused on making the "first five minutes" smooth and rewarding. They are then followed up by a plethora of resources such as tutorials with example code and libraries. None of this would be possible without the great CircuitPython community we've grown that centers around our Discord server.

Absolute noob requiring some help (LED matrix candle prodject)
Blue eyed as I am I just copypasted the firependant.ino code (from here) into the IDE and pressed upload. It didnt work. Then I did the same with the data.h code and it also didnt work.

Lilygo T-Deck: 2.8-inch IPS LCD display, mini keyboard, and ESP32 processor
Gah, I just ordered one on impulse [1]. I've wanted to build out a WiFi PDA for quite some time now and I like this hardware.
I'm quite liking the idea of running tulip MicroPython [2] on it, or going back to pure MicroPython [3] and writing some drivers. Apparently something like ampy can be used to upload/download Python files [4].
Threads could be quite exciting for running multiple programs at once [5], although I have no idea what it means for two programs to fight over GPIO! It does seem as though MicroPython can only utilise a single core [6].

about microprocessor
If you really want to engage in the travesty that is shoehorning a high level scripting language into an environment that has 512 bytes of RAM and less clock cycles than an electric toothbrush, there is micropython.

There is some work to implement a common CAN interface in micropython but it's some way off yet: https://github.com/micropython/micropython/pull/13149

Ask HN: Embedded Scripting Options for Microcontrollers
Needed for hobby project, maintained by very small team. Haven't decided on specific microcontroller. Needed for general bit-banging, speed and code size are not priorities.
So far have considered MicroPython [0] [1] and Lua [2] [3], but open for suggestions for others.
What are experiences?

Arduino or python
Python is also a general-purpose programming language. It's typically used on desktop / laptop computers. But Micropython is a variant that can be used to program embedded devices.
