hdeband: New debanding shader, let me know what you think!
Oh also there is also an LQ variant here. It blurs somewhat directionally and may exhibit some other artifacts too, but it's ~2x faster and its problems are probably not very noticeable on most content without pausing and zooming in.

Script to detect duplicate frames
What's the purpose of this? This might be possible using ffmpeg filters in tandem with a Lua script. I made a script for skipping scenes while back (here), this can be used as reference to see how the metadata can be observed in Lua (the script is kinda unreliable, not sure if that's just how the FFmpeg filter is, or if it's just configured badly by me, or maybe the script is buggy, I lost interest a while ago).

Optimal Configuration for a NVIDIA GeForce MX150
There are also adaptive sharpeners like FSR, NVScaler, and my project nlmeans. They are lightweight and can look good on some anime, and also look good on other content.

New shader: Non-local means denoising
Is noise present in the images you tested it on? Do you think you could try testing it with a minimal/default mpv.conf? For reference if I run nlmeans.glsl on lena, virtually all of the noise is gone from the background and skin, with some loss of detail on the texture of the hat.
What are some alternatives?
