I have an AHK v1 script that turns off all the monitors connected to my computer, except the primary one, on pressing F2. I'd like to have this script work with version 2. I have tried using this tool on GitHub to convert it to version 2 but the converted code throws up lots of errors. The code is:

Sadly, I can't seem to get this working. I tried a v1 to v2 converter, Bing Chat, and I spent a long while trying things, and researching and comparing v1 and v2 versions of NumPut() (v1 and v2) and VarSetCapacity (v1)/VarSetStrCapacity (v2) and the buffer function (v2) (like what the converter recommended). I always get this error: "Error: This value of type "VarRef" has no property named "Ptr"."

I converted my original script using https://github.com/mmikeww/AHK-v2-script-converter and it works as intended without issues but while trying to merge the SendEvent lines it seems to have broken again? converted: https://katb.in/wivosurevud

Thanks for the extra details, I think I understand what you’re looking for.

Have you looked into something like this[1] for generating the macro as an ahk file? Full disclosure: I have not used it, but it seems like what you’re looking for. If you find that it suits your needs, I’d use that to record the macro and then wrap it in a loop from 1..N where N is based on the Fn key you press. That should do the trick unless I’m misunderstanding.

I wish I could be of more help, but this repo seems like a decent starting point for your use case.

So basically a macro recorder? Take a look at this.

I made a macro with AutoHotkey, not the cleanest solution, but lets me open chests without incurring RSI :D. Used this script https://github.com/adegard/AHK_SCRIPTS to record the mouse movements for opening the chest, then made a few more edits to clean up the resulting file and stick a loop in it.
