Wifi Stuck in Authentication Loop
i have read that sometimes a manufacturer will release the same product with different chipsets which could affect how well the driver does or does not work with your device. it may help to check the usb id's with lsusb and verify with this list that your device is supported by the driver you linked: https://github.com/morrownr/88x2bu-20210702/blob/main/supported-device-IDs

Problem with Realtek 8812Bu usb wifi driver on linux Mint.
i've never needed to use one myself, but have seen this developer's work show up in lots of searches for realtek drivers. the times i can recall others trying their drivers were successful if i remember correctly. in addition, they often have what seems like extensive documentation so it may be worth a try: https://github.com/morrownr/88x2bu-20210702

Cannot reinstall wireless adapter driver after... well, I'm not sure
I'm running Arch Linux with the kernel version 6.0.2. I just got the pieces for my PC, and when I assembled it, I left one of the two DIMMs wrong (I have never assembled a computer before), so the computer was randomly turning off (or at least that's what I think. Since it put it in the right way, it hasn't done that again). The first time it did that, I was weirded out, but I just assumed that it was because of the two virtual machines I had running. The second time was the one that screwed everything up (and when I noticed how the DIMM was placed). I ran a system upgrade, and the computer turned off while it was rebuilding the initial ramdisk, so I had to chroot into the system partition and reinstall the package linux (I previously tried to run mkinitcpio -P, but it told me that there were no presets available). After that, the system booted up properly, but when I unplugged the Ethernet cable, SURPRISE! No wireless adapters were found. Oh God! I quickly plugged back in the Ethernet cable and downloaded the driver I was using from its github page (https://github.com/morrownr/8821cu-20210118). To avoid problems, I ran the script remove-driver.sh, and gave no errors. But then, after rebooting and running the install script, the installation failed.
