USB Wifi Recommendations
The adapter you got should work fine, with the proper driver. I went to their driver download page, and got this archive for Linux Kernels: 4.19 - 5.11. Inside the archive, found the README.md file pointing to a github repository that contains newer versions of the driver https://github.com/morrownr/8821cu-20210916. You should give it a try.

No network devices available [Notebook Gateway GWNR71517]
if you want to make sure this is the correct driver for your adapter before going through the rest of the process, you can run the command lsusb. the id's will look something like 0BDA:B82B. the list of supported device id's is on this page: https://github.com/morrownr/8821cu-20210916/blob/main/supported-device-IDs

Cannot reinstall wireless adapter driver after... well, I'm not sure
I'm running Arch Linux with the kernel version 6.0.2. I just got the pieces for my PC, and when I assembled it, I left one of the two DIMMs wrong (I have never assembled a computer before), so the computer was randomly turning off (or at least that's what I think. Since it put it in the right way, it hasn't done that again). The first time it did that, I was weirded out, but I just assumed that it was because of the two virtual machines I had running. The second time was the one that screwed everything up (and when I noticed how the DIMM was placed). I ran a system upgrade, and the computer turned off while it was rebuilding the initial ramdisk, so I had to chroot into the system partition and reinstall the package linux (I previously tried to run mkinitcpio -P, but it told me that there were no presets available). After that, the system booted up properly, but when I unplugged the Ethernet cable, SURPRISE! No wireless adapters were found. Oh God! I quickly plugged back in the Ethernet cable and downloaded the driver I was using from its github page (https://github.com/morrownr/8821cu-20210118). To avoid problems, I ran the script remove-driver.sh, and gave no errors. But then, after rebooting and running the install script, the installation failed.

Trouble getting wifi adapter to work on new install of linux lite
It this is indeed what shows when you do lsusb, then you may be able to get it working with the driver from here:https://github.com/morrownr/8821cu-20210118

Need a better wireless usb adapter since I had my laptop screen/antenna removed
I bought two of these realtek usb adapters for my raspberry pi's, the seem to work quite well. These are the drivers for them if you're using linux.
What are some alternatives?
