Dr. Barski's Lisperati1000 really looks the goods for me... but I'm assuming that the terminal based editors for that, wouldn't be able to display a pdf in a buffer? I'd really like to have a side-by-side workflow, from book (or manual, or CLHS) on a left-or-bottom pane of a superwide display (portrait or landscape doesn't bother me) and the REPL/code buffer on the right-or-top pane.
