The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

- Can use SDR as Wifi 2.4ghz o more Spectrum Analyzer?
- Using a Y Mixer (ADL5350) as a downconverter for ISM band. Is that a bad idea?

Downconverter or SDR for 2.4GHz ISM band
This one https://github.com/IanWraith/24DownConvert is the most promising approach, will start a new thread specifically looking for feedback on using a mixer and a programmable oscillator (adding an LCD, would result in a tunable downconverter)

Need help in scanning Digital TV spectrum
A few months ago my cable internet went down and I found this youtube video showing how to diagnose cable TV using an rtlsdr and the Spektrum spectrum analyzer. My internet came back on before I could take any good measurements but it seems like what you are looking to do.

Does Spektrum work with HackRF One?
I'm talking about this software: https://github.com/pavels/spektrum

Coming back to RTL SDR
SDRAngel may be worth looking into. Also not really a SDRSharp kind of app but recently I've been using Spektrum a lot to monitor bands that are wider than the 2.4MHz bandwidth of the rtl devices. I haven't tried SDR++ yet but its feature list looks very nice.
- Software to use your SDR as a Wideband Spectrum Analyzer - Improve Antenna TV Reception & Detect Interference
- 433Mhz wifi scanner? ( Nurse-call Wifi systems )
- Linux-using hams, what software do you use?

Hackrf one as swr meter/antenna analyzer
The highest frequency a RTL2832U-based SDR can reach is apparently 2.2GHz. (https://osmocom.org/projects/rtl-sdr/wiki) But if you are willing to do some programming, take a look at https://github.com/pavels/spektrum. Maybe you can port it to a different SDR.

Noob question, how to locate frequency of a device?
Spectrum analyzer software like Spektrum (https://github.com/pavels/spektrum) can do a large bandwidth sweep and help narrow down the device frequency.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing 24DownConvert and spektrum you can also consider the following projects:
qspectrumanalyzer - Spectrum analyzer for multiple SDR platforms (PyQtGraph based GUI for soapy_power, hackrf_sweep, rtl_power, rx_power and other backends)
sdrangel - SDR Rx/Tx software for Airspy, Airspy HF+, BladeRF, HackRF, LimeSDR, PlutoSDR, RTL-SDR, SDRplay RSP1 and FunCube
