Will mtl texthookers work with non visual novel games? and maybe even emulated games and old dogs games?
maybe checkout Agent. if your lucky, someone made a script for it (the program has public scripts built into it like Tsukihime R for yuzu). if not then u could code it. Still though you can consider OCR such as VNOCR/Visual Novel OCR.

Btw, in case someone found it useful, when I was looking for text hookers that work with this devil's spawn Tyrano for reasons okay, I was just too stupid for Irohanihoheto, I found Agent which right now is the easiest way to hook it I know of. Def works with Tyrano 4 and 5, never checked other versions but it's probably fine.
