Also https://github.com/swisskyrepo/PayloadsAllTheThings I'm sure there's a few test php files in here for filter bypasses too
Diversifying a lot. Next acquisition will be Ghost(https://ghost.org/) I bet. Similar DNA, fits in the portfolio (If they are trying to match the feature set of Google) and have no VC backing.
Project mention: Elixir or golang which wiil be good for large websocket connections. | /r/elixir | 2023-05-11Closest spiritual competitor to Phoenix I’m aware of in Go world is Revel (https://revel.github.io/) and it’s still at a stiff feature disadvantage.
This is by the same person who made jspaint. https://github.com/1j01/jspaint Some of the other projects by the author are also very interesting https://github.com/1j01?tab=repositories&q=&type=&language=&...
There is this pipes screen saver for example https://1j01.github.io/pipes/
With a clean architectural design and a primary object methodology, Hanami is counted among the best ruby frameworks that have gained popularity as an alternative to Rails. Hanami is “sorted” in design and provides small files that can be used independently to create a project stack. Hanami is lightweight and consumes fewer resources claiming 60% lesser memory than other big Ruby frameworks.
Project mention: One of the greatest user interface disasters in history | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-11-29Mastodon is a microblogging service, so not meant for large bodies of text. This is why the text entry box is small, the columns are somewhat narrow (especially in deck mode) etc.
Platforms like https://writefreely.org/ , which are designed to be for blogging and long-form writing, are the place to write this. Write Freely federates so one can follow accounts and interact with posts via Mastodon etc.
Project mention: Five Free Open-Source Database Managers for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and More | dev.to | 2024-01-18OmniDB is a collaborative open-source database manager that’s available as a hosted version or as a stand-alone app. The application is built keeping simplicity in mind, making it one of the most user-friendly database managers.
Project mention: Google Drive misplaces months' worth of customer data | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-11-27This is not for everyone, but I host my family photos myself, most recently with this: https://piwigo.org/. I have been doing this since 2007 (started on a different software, called "gallery". Was able to migrate from gallery2 to gallery3 and now piwigo), and so far no major issues. Advantage: I can easily share photos with family, no need for iCloud, Facebook, or indeed any service- they just need a web browser on their desktop computer or phone.
I'm surprised that there is no mentions of a great hacker-friendly plain-text accounting software called `ledger` https://ledger-cli.org/ in this thread. It has amazing documentation when it comes to understanding basic principles of double-entry bookkeeping and goes through many typical situations and usecases. There are also several forks, most popular and advanced is `hledger` https://hledger.org/ (h is for Haskell), which provides some neat features out of the box, such as a simple web interface. All of them are very primitive compared to "professional" accounting software, but in return it offers great opportunities for hacking around while ensuring validity of your books.
I've been using commafeed for a few months now. The UI is closest thing to GReader I've seen. It's still light on features and no plugin option yet. But it works well and gets frequent updates.

For a PWA to be listed in app stores, it must be wrapped within additional software. This wrapper tends to be less robust and not as finely tuned as mainstream browsers, a fact that even PWABuilder acknowledges.
