Project mention: A bug which is only a bug five days out of the year | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-01-31To be honest, use a library where someone else figured out the ambiguities and accounted for the edge cases. Good starting point: https://moment.github.io/luxon/#/math
Date-fns is fine for simpler use cases but Luxon is a lot more complete, especially where it comes to time zones.
Project mention: Creating Command-Line Tools in Python with argparse - Guide | /r/learningpython | 2023-12-09I did the same with datetime and moved to using Pendulum.
Project mention: Using Openpyxl - keep min date, handle line breaks, handle duplicates | /r/learnpython | 2023-05-01Here is an example for a single cell (I'm using the dateutil package to parse the strings):
So far I came across k8tz, which could be a solution.
Project mention: Seriously, why there isn't an easy way to implement a timezone picker UI? | /r/androiddev | 2023-06-07I needed to do a simple time zone selector, but there just isn't an easy way to do it apart from showing a 500-items-long TimeZone.getAvailableIDs() at the user in a dropdown. I had wanted something like this, but for Android, and it just doesn't seem to exist. So I need to do my own fuzzy text search or deal with some API? Maybe there are other options? Why does it have to be so complicated??? [/rant]
We set up Sze Ying's action set-timezone and that's it!
Timezone Updater (version 23): Update timezone
Once a plugin is activated under "Hide and show plugins" in the Loupeck application, how to you actually see the functions on Loopdeck Live ? Can you assign them to specific buttons? I haven't found the solution for the WorldClock plugin, as mention, and posted a ticket with the question on their github issues page. But I still don't have answers and can't figure it around.
