I remember a consulting gig where they were pushing 50k requests per second with PHP in a 2018 laptop by using this framework https://github.com/walkor/workerman

In a real application, with database connection pooling and auth sessions, it went down to 15k requests/s.

And that was PHP7. PHP8 introduced JIT so it's probably significantly faster these days and hopefully fully typed.

Mitt is a small (200 bytes) library that provides the same functionality. It doesn't have many updates, because it's simply perfect and there are not many things to improve there. It gets the job done. Don't be frightened, if in 2 years npm will say it's 2 years old. This library is just perfect with no bloatware. In the worst case, just copy-paste its code to your app.

Does anyone know of a software that has ticketing like eventbrite? I need the ability for people to buy a ticket and then choose a seat to sit in much like ticketmaster and eventbrite. I know about alf.io and I've used it in the past for events where I don't need a seating chart and it has worked great. So it there a alf.io that just has a seating chart feature?
