    It's "like normal talk" insofar as information is encoded in waveforms (and it is totally possible to transpose electrostatic waveforms into audio equivalents; I wrote software specifically to do that for Fysh A, and you can hear the results in the intro to this Conlangery episode). It is unlike normal talk insofar as the range of available waveforms is not constrained by the resonant features of the human vocal tract, but rather by whatever biophysical limitations happen to apply to your creatures' electrocytes. If they have arbitrary frequency control (like many birds have with sound), you might try borrowing ideas for phonology from whistle registers (which I have also written synthesis software for).

    I created a modified model to implement regression to the baseline (https://github.com/conlang-software-dev/whistler/blob/up-down/test/fixtures/model2-regression.json) and added a few sample wav files of the results (https://github.com/conlang-software-dev/whistler/tree/up-down; the "model2-regression.x.wav" files). This version is super simplified--in reality, I'd expect contextual adjustments that would make it sound better and reduce the total amount of frequency motion, but those take more than 10 minutes to describe in machine-readable terms... so, hopefully this is helpful!
