  If by other currencies, you mean other EVM tokens then like the first comment mentioned, you want to look into ERC20 tokens. That's the standard most "currencies" like USDT, DAI, USDC and others use. When looking into ERC20 tokens, it's best if you use the OpenZeppelin implementation and be sure to use their SafeERC20 method for interacting with other ERC20 tokens in your smart contract to avoid common bugs that might occur with some weird-ERC20 tokens like USDT.
