antispaces: A bash function for removing spaces from filenames in the current directory and sub directories
I always used a perl script I found back in 2001 called sanity.pl. Just did a search, and it looks like there is an updated version by the author. https://www.splitbrain.org/projects/sanity

Shell quoting in rsync?
If you are OK renaming your dirs to remove spaces, you can run https://github.com/splitbrain/sanity/blob/master/sanity.pl . It will recursively replace "undesirable" characters in your dirs/files. You can modify it as needed, I keep it around and use it often after downloading stuff w/spaces/junk in the names.
- How do I search for a directory that has a space in the name?
