Making my 3d prints
Your best bet is to use Starfab, which can take the game's ship models and natively convert them right into Blender. Then you can touch them up as needed from there.

I so hope that this is real and licensed.
Although you can still rip your own by using Starfab and a bit of work.

Cutlass Paints for Stanton Delivery Bois :)
Use Starfab.

The Argo MPUV
StarFab was used for model extraction. :)

Need help extracting and converting game files . To open in blender . End goal is to 3d print some Armor .
Starfab works nicely for this. It even has a plugin to launch right into Blender once the assets are converted.

3d printed mole. WIP
Just use starfab https://gitlab.com/scmodding/tools/starfab

Awesome breakdown of how Star Citizen ships are modeled
It is an open source tool to extract modells, well almost anything, from the game pak files. It is used to mods and to extract the modells for rendering (or in my case, 3d print) https://gitlab.com/scmodding/tools/starfab

3d printable model?!?
If you use Starfab, you can actually rip the ship models right from the game into Blender for further processing: https://gitlab.com/scmodding/tools/starfab

Does anyone have the Ares Inferno + Ion 3d models?
Using Starfab and a bit of luck, you can actually extract the ship models right into Blender yourself and can work with them further from there.

First attempt at high-resolution zoomable maps
If you want the buildings, I think it will be easier to extract the models from the game files - even it is still a huge amount of work. There is a tool called StarFab that can extract ObjectContainers to Blender - https://gitlab.com/scmodding/tools/starfab From time to time, you see 3D models of the ships posted here - they all come from this tool. I have seen the whole ObjectContainer of an underground bunker extracted with it - so this is definitely possible. Me and StarFab, we both use the same backend for extracting data from the game files - https://gitlab.com/scmodding/frameworks/scdatatools If one is very good with Blender - including writing plugins - he could write a Python script that extracts the ObjectContainers and renders them as seen from the top. For me, it will cost more time than I am willing to invest - as I will have to learn Blender first.
