Has anybody else had a bad experience with Pegasus?
I've kept hearing that Pegasus was a faster and better alternative to DIG, so I decided that I would try it out. I went through the process of setting it up from this guide (https://github.com/dragoonDorise/pegasus-rp2-metadata). Aaaaand.... I hated it. I liked the UI, everything was fine there but it was horrible. It was so slow, games wouldn't launch properly, and it wouldn't detect like half of the screenshots and logos I had put in. Overall, it was just not working for me at all, I even went back and redid everything to the same result. Honestly, I'm sticking with DIG as of now. Really disappointing.

DIG front-end systems issues.
I had the same issues with dig. I ended up fiddling around with my RP2 by connecting and android debugger to it and learning how to launch the apps I needed by hand. I then figured out that the pegasus front end is far more flexible than dig and you can enter an entirely custom command to launch each game in exactly the right environment. This gave me the ability to launch the gpsp custom retroarch emulator so my gba experience is flawless. Pegasus does take some configuration though. Luckily this guide basically provides the best pre built configs that you can just drop in https://github.com/dragoonDorise/pegasus-rp2-metadata

Retroid Pocket 2 - LONG Rant -DO NOT believe the hype!- No amount of tinkering with the settings will make this handheld do what I'm told it does. I spent FAR more time troubleshooting issues and overcoming general clunkiness than playing games with it. That is unforgivable with a product like this.
Problem with RP2 is you have to use selected emulators /cores per system if you want them to run well. And really need to use a frontend launcher to make the experience comparable to a RG351, using the android interface is cumbersome. Hope this helps: https://github.com/dragoonDorise/pegasus-rp2-metadata

Need a Step-by-Step Guide for Pegasus Themes (RP2)
Here’s mine: https://github.com/dragoonDorise/pegasus-rp2-metadata I wrote it when Android 6 was the norm, now with android 8 you don’t need to format the SD as internal, so that part you can ignore
