Help with starting a project in Visual Studio Code- and file management?
Usually when I want to do a new project I create a repository on GitHub then I use the terminal to go to where I want to work on that code (on Linux or Mac I use the cd command to change directories in the terminal, I know Windows has a similar command) and do git clone URL_of_my_project_on_GitHub, where URL_of_my_project_on_GitHub is the URL in my web browser of the project on GitHub, like https://github.com/MyUsername/MyProject . Then I tell VS code to open the folder of that project.

How can I set up VSCode to recognize directory paths without manually changing the PYTHONPATH?
Did not know I had to do this. Afterwards did it with pip install -e . (Encountering a weird thing though, where when I do a pip freeze, instead of getting app==1.0, I'm getting a line that says -e git+https://github.com/myusername/myproject@dfb640450ef4e7a943d5fd7ad5521f3b9d229d#egg=app. It seems right now it doesn't matter all that much because all the imports still work and my tests are running. Curious what it means for my project though.
