  • Neovim configuration seems to create new buffer instead of opening within current buffer
    1 project | /r/neovim | 12 Sep 2023
I needed a way to debug why this is happening on my Neovim configuration. I am using a stripped down version of https://github.com/frans-johansson/lazy-nvim-starter to get started. I added barbar.nvim to improve the tab view. Right now whenever I search for files, live_grep in telescope/ jump files using ctags neovim seems to always create new buffers while opening these files instead of opening in the same window. I searched my configuration and do not see any remaps which do this. I understand that is a popular remap within telescope to open a new tab but I verified that by just doing neovim opens a new tab. Any help will be appreciated!
  • I don't understand Lua modules

I didn't understand all the guides and tutorials online either but I ended up with this which helped me understand all the things much better and I based my nvim config from here :)
