• My first week with my SV04

  My SV04 can be coaxed into printing reasonably. The frog is a clean 2 color print with minimal cleanup. However the KSR FDM tests reveal the my SV04 is very bad at the negative space tests; only the widest space allowed the peg to drop out. The alignment of the nozzles was tricky but, once set, it did not need re-work. This cannot be said for the the z axis. The z axis offset required tuning every time I changed filament. It also seem to need tuning every 2 days even using the same filament. I don't know if this is due to the gantry being wider at top than at the bottom or because the E2 extruder stepper motor is mounted on an angle from the x axis extrusion. Though I am sure this defective mounting of the stepper has caused fraying of the E1 x-axis belt after just the few prints you see above for it contacts the E2 pulley while printing.

• Has anybody measured printer scores for Sovol models?

  So, this test has recently become some sort of "standard" for testing 3d printers. Sovol printers have really good specs, and I read here that the SV01 scores 23.5 out of 30, which is not bad at all. However, this source seems to state that the SV03 produces lower quality prints that the SV01 and SV02.

• Testing Vyper with the Kickstarter test using MPOX profile

  I have tested my Vyper with the Kickstarter test using the famous mpox profile. I got 15/30 points. I also tested using the default profile and I got 15/30 points again. The default profile did a better job though the scores were equal. One may get a different result; I just want to share my experience.
