  • [Guide] How to make a free server with oracle cloud (any vanilla version or modded 1.3.5.3)

As the tModLoader devs are trying to find a way to not have this problem, someone made a precompiled version that bypasses the steam connection and can be managed like I did for 1.3.5.3. The issue is that this was for an early version of tml 1.4 and most ported mods are not available for it. Also, to set tml to this version, you need to manually install it to the client.
  • Is it even possible to run a tModLoader server on an ARM Ubuntu server?
    1 project | /r/Terraria | 5 Jan 2023
I am using actually the patch from here and it works fine inside Podman on arm64, I can share my Dockerfile of course. Calamity Mod runs nice. Unfortunately it is only for 2022.06 and Thorium won't work there.
  • tModLoader on a Raspberry Pi server?

If you want a temporary, dirty solution, I took the solution they're ruminating over above and made a precompiled version (https://github.com/joshua-software-dev/tModLoader/releases/tag/v2022.06.96.4arm). This will let you run a server on arm64/arm32, as long as you can deal with not having steam integrations work. That makes downloading mods a giant hassle, but once you have a working server installation for linux, my very endgame calamity world hasn't shown any signs of issues I hadn't experienced on x64/x86 hardware.
