Native plant highlight: Sonoran scrub oak, Quercus turbinella. Info in comments.
This oak species supports at least 118 gall-forming insects, according to https://www.gallformers.org/

parasitic worm on goldenrod?
Gallformers is a good searchable source for gall ID, though it's incomplete: there's a lot of different gall-forming critters and the galls form in different ways. Your description sounds a little like this gall, but it could very easily be different.

What’s going on with this oak? Some sort of mutation? Perhaps like what happens to conifers with witches brooms?
Definitely a gall. Gallformers is a good resource for North America. There's a great diversity of oak galls.

very unhealthy small tree located in Arkansas
I'm a bit hopeless with tree ID, but the deformations on the leaves are galls. You could try the search on Gallformers once you've got an ID on the plant if you'd like to know what kind. Generally leaf galls don't impact the health of the plant too much, but there's a lot here relative to the size of the plant so they might stunt growth. Not really much to do about it though.

What kind of bug does this?
These are leaf galls. I'm pretty terrible at IDing leaves off plants I'm not familiar with, but if you know what kind of plant it was, Gallformers has a good look-up for known galls of North America. A variety of different organisms induce plants to form galls, including mites, flies, and wasps among others.

Candy corn(!) growing on underside of Vitis sp. leaf. What is this sorcery?
Galls for certain. Try the search on Gallformers - there's a lot of kinds of galls and not all species of gall-formers are known. This seems like the closest match on there although not identical. You can also try the Galls of North America project on iNaturalist.

Anybody know what this is? Spotted in drumheller, AB
Looks like galls to me- resembles some of the midge leaf galls from the SW but that doesn't mean much since it's a totally different region and host plant. Try the search on Gallformers if you know or can get an ID on the host plant, though there's many galls with unknown formers so it may not be on there. You could also try submitting it to the Galls of North America project on iNaturalist.

Are these red buds supposed to be growing from the leaves of this tree? Toronto, CA
They're galls. Try the Gallformers search if you know the species of tree. They probably won't hurt the tree, even in these numbers.

Found all over porch this evening. There is an oak tree above us that drops oak galls all the time, but never anything that looks like “tomato plant”. Sorry for the poor photo, but we’re not close to much light. Zone 7 Eastern US.
Maybe try them under the Galls of North America project on iNaturalist? I honestly don't know if these are a gall or not, but the tiny hollow cavities in your cross-section make me wonder. I can't find anything similar on Gallformers but there's a lot of poorly-described types of galls.
- Gallformers, a site aiming to become the largest databse on North American gall-inducers.
