  I would forget about doing it that way. Use this tool https://github.com/MrV2K/WHDLoad-Download-Tool which you can then setup to download what you want. Everything will be the most up to date whdload as well.

  All tooltypes can be changed, just open the icon properties of the slave file. In general though whdload games come as the default install options in my experiance. I would change source of where your getting the games from, I use this tool https://github.com/MrV2K/WHDLoad-Download-Tool which gets them from an FTP server run by Turran and the whdload files currated by Retroplay over here https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=61028
