Connected textures mod for 1.17.1?
Alternatively, Connected Block Textures. It doesn't have an official 1.17 port, but someone else ported it to 1.17 and you can find that here. I haven't personally tried Continuity yet, but if they work about the same then I recommend continuity instead since it's actually getting updated by the mod author.

Tho I guess we still need Optifine for Forge
use OkZoomer (I couldn't find the 1.17.1 version of it so I just uploaded the one I had to google drive) for OptiFine zoom and use HyperCubeMC for connected textures. Sodium Extra is also a nice touch adding more features OptiFine has but vanilla sodium doesn't, like NoFog, and Iris for shader support, even though it doesn't support all shaders, it barely reduced FPS on my PC and applied the shaders in a single click without having to go through the Mojang Studios screen. Just fiddle around on google or in r/fabricmc and you'll probably find mods to suit all your needs.

Is there a mod that makes texture like glass connect like optifine, and it works with every texture pack ?
you can get the jar files from here: https://github.com/HyperCubeMC/connected-block-textures/suites/3268282714/artifacts/76085809

Good Job Guys!
I couldn't get CTM working. There's also Connected Block Textures, which currently isn't for 1.17, but a different developer has made a 1.17 port! You just have to get it from their Github page. I can confirm this one works in 1.17!

Mod that gives you the perks of Optifine Texture packs without Optifine
This connected block textures mod (download build artifacts from the actions tab, you need a github account to download)

exporting completed mod to .jar from folder
aight, I know this has been asked on the sub before, but the comment I saw wasn't very descriptive. I'm trying to export the 1.17 port of ConnectedBlockTextures (CBT, lol) and I have the unzipped folder. I've run the command "./gradlew build" in terminal in the folder (I'm on mac). I'm not sure where to find the output .jar file. I don't see any new files when searching "connected-block-textures-0.1.2" in the folder or on my hard drive from before and after running the command

Connected Textures and Custom Armor mods for Fabric?
The dev just straight up refuses to maintain it. I’d recommend the JustSnoopy30 fork
