Is it possible to resemble folder structure from .json takeout files?
I recently downloaded all of my google photos photos, and realized there is metadata attached to it, there are some tools like https://github.com/TheLastGimbus/GooglePhotosTakeoutHelper that help to populate files with the available information, but it is incapable of restoring the original hierarchy, I first thought that google didn't include that info on Google Photos, but after looking deep into some (not all) of the metadata included in the .json files I found there is actually some info about this, and it may be helpful.

Is there really no (easy) way to automatically download/sync my Google Photos to my local NAS?
I used Google Takeout for my initial photo dump and some Google Photo helper script like https://github.com/TheLastGimbus/GooglePhotosTakeoutHelper. Then I've been using Google Photos and Synology Photos side by side on my phone for new photos.
