I have personally published a variety of mods for the Enhanced Edition version, most of which I do not recommend for an initial playthrough because I do think you should experience the game as intended at least once. The one I would actually recommend for first time playthroughs is my Dialog Tags mod (download, description), which reveals which dialog options react to your stats or influence your alignment.
