The video on this page shows another novelty: a 3D Graph you can navigate through using the mouse wheel and click-drag. This means you can rotate branches as if they were real 3D models. The Brat plugin can install that plugin.
And then there's the animated Living Graph plugin that the developer calls a "for fun" plugin. .
