    • But if you want to avoid installing a full-blown Windows server, I suggest to create a Linux server and install Samba + WSUS-Offline on it: https://gitlab.com/wsusoffline/wsusoffline We've been running that for years to update dozens of Windows workstations and couple of Windows servers too. It's a bit difficult to setup, but after that it has been running smoothly, and all the updates are installed just fine (whenever we release them to be installed). It even supports Windows 11. Samba is used to provide the actual update packages (client machines are mapping that as a network drive whenever they're installing new updates).
