There's a lack of features on the desktop side that needs to be implemented by the user. The virtual keyboard for Windows/Linux is a good example. Fortunately, there are several OSS virtual keyboard packages on pub.dev. Unfortunately, most are the same projects forked and modified to fix a bug and then abandoned, waiting for someone else to fork it and maintain it.
