[News] There are a lot of questions on the sub about the recent futurerestore updates. I've written an article collecting all the current information together, and I will continue to update it as the situation changes. It also contains general advice for people who are unsure what to do.

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/jailbreak

  • reading would help you out more than arguing Nonce Entangling (Apple A12 and newer) Newer devices, like the iPhone XR or the Apple Watch Series 4 have nonce-entangling enabled. this means the nonces generated by your device is now also UID derived, and consequently device-specific. to save usable tickets for a newer device, you need to get the nonce that your device actually generates from your generator. for information on how to get your actual boot nonce, see this post on r/jailbreak.

  • thanks again and again. As far as the libs - on https://github.com/marijuanARM/futurerestore if you scroll down a bit under Dependencies, it says 'External libs. Make sure these are installed.' I've also seen a script to compile fr but when I try to run in terminal it just returns 'no such file or directory' after every line. I didn't need anything before when I managed to successfully fr to iOS 12.x, but that was a different version and I was on Windows at the time not Mac. Hard shrug lol I apparently have no clue what I am doing.. I should probably just wait for your updated guide
