  • You can have a single postgres server that you then create databases on (databases != tables), as would be the case if you used an external database server, or you could spin up a dedicated database container for each project / compose file. For instance, have a look at the compose file for mailcow. This file defines a mysql db, but I could run a second mysql container for another project on the same machine.
