  Allophone speech synthesis in Pure Perl

this has proved a simple way to send raw data to a speaker, great. padsp makes a /dev/dsp appear and old applications requiring this will work if prefixed with padsp; but I prefer that pipe that can be included inside my code, and that single line has allowed me to write an allophonic speech synthesiser and a piano-thingy. BUT now I want to be able to capture audio now...any ideas guys?
