The subtitles are "a bit bad" in what way? If it's visually, you can change the appearance of subtitles in both players. If you're talking about the quality of the translations, then that's just a matter of selecting a different subtitle file. Both Stremio and VLC get their subtitles by default from OpenSubtitles.org (with Stremuio using the OpenSubtitles addon and VLC using the VLSub plugin), so the same good and bad subtitle files are available to both, though a different file might be selected by default, and they might be listed in a different order when you go to select on in the subtitles menu.
