My A.Dux layout uses no double-taps or home-row mods and can do it all. You could easily add a windows key to the left-most thumb key, I just don't want one. It's designed to use every mod combo I can imagine needing while accommodating some conveniences for Russian and mouse keys. I don't want more keys, this works great. It's a bit niche, but may provide some ideas.
