    FYSETC Kit - Voron-2 kit

  • I posted a ton of pics of what I received over on my blog, to show the inventory of the kit (I wasn't paid or given anything to review the kit btw). When I was considering buying it, I was trying to find where somebody had reviewed the same kit, and found nothing recent, so I thought posting the inventory could be helpful. Of course it's just a data point, since I'm sure there could be changes in the future (the BOM is generic enough in ways to allow that), but it still may be worthwhile for anyone about to buy the same kit. I won't post the direct link to the kit on AliE since the rules say that could cause the post to get yanked, but the kit is linked through the blog post. I was using the v1.3 of the BOM as my checklist, and everything was accounted for, minus maybe a a couple of likely extra M5 screws (some of the screws are separated in the main screw kit, and another for the bed assembly). I am planning to build this as an R2 (with a Rapido + Stealthburner). I am also upgrading the screws to stainless, and have bought new ball bearing fans for the hot end (the included fans are all sleeve bearing). I've not had time to check over the rails, only the inventory is done for now. But my first impression is that overall it seems like a good kit, but it will be my first, so I guess I will find out.

  • I was looking around after my last post for more info on the kinematic mounts (which apparently may not work on the Fystec bed due to non-spec holes) and found this link, which shows an interesting simulation of how the bed may taco when mounted. And further down that page, it was noted that rolled plates sometimes do better being screwed down (one screw tight), than with the kinematic setup, so I will probably just try it out (stock), and see how it goes.
