Finally made it home, have git installed, and tried the first line: git remote add basujindal https://github.com/basujindal/stable-diffusion

You need to install git first. But if you haven't used it to download the original repository, it may be simpler to directly download basujindal's optimized scripts using this link. Put them in the same folder where you have all the compviz data.

For git, it's giving you this error since you didn't initially use it to download the repository. Normally you would do: git clone https://github.com/CompViz/stable-diffusion
