  • I'm fairly confident you can. I seem to recall being able to override/customize keybindings regardless of whether they were in the extension or not. I haven't tried it with the Vim extension, but I had switched to a Kakoune extension to try it out for a bit (it's a slightly different take on the modal editing of Vi). I was able to add and customize the keybindings for it.
