In fact coupled up with a few more of the effects from this repository you can get very creative with making vocal ambient drones etc. once your happy with what you have created, use freeze in Amaranth and then render your track, you can then manipulate with like someone else said Rrrreaaaa time stretching, then maybe even add effects directly onto your 'item' and then glue each time you make a change.
