This is a lootfilter for the game "Path of Exile". It hides low value items, uses a markup-scheme and sounds to highlight expensive gear and is based on economy data mining.
Any build guide will need you to install an external tool, Path of Building. The current version is a Community Fork, which you can find here: https://github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/releases The UI is pretty clunky, so feel free to watch a youtube guide or two on how to use it. If you don't use PoB (Path of Building), you will never be able to know what your character stats and damage really are, as the in-game tooltip DPS and sheet stats don't work, and never have worked.
Next, thing: trade. Trade is a big part of the game, and to access you will want to be playing in a Trade league (not SSF - Solo Self Found). Here are the resources you will need to use the trade system: https://poe.ninja/challenge/currency is the "price-checking" tool for currency exchange rates and pricing unique items. (There is no way to reliably price rare items for a new player, unless you know all builds, all item affixes, all crafting mechanics and what is popular at the moment). Although there is almost 50 different currencies (you will want to memorize those), don't let that fool you - the basic "dollars" is the Chaos Orb. Everything you will trade to and from will have to be exchanged into Chaos Orbs. Hundred dollar bills are the "Exalted Orbs", and then "ten thousand dollar bill" is the Mirror of Kalandra. You will need Awakened PoE Trade (https://github.com/SnosMe/awakened-poe-trade), an overlay for the game that lets you quickly check prices of items in-game. Do not attempt to trade without a trade overlay, or you will get assblasted and have a terrible time. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/ is the official search API, that lets you search for items based on a set of criteria. You will be using it constantly to set up alerts on items you are interested in to snipe, or to quickly search an over-priced piece of gear if you are in a rush. The only way to trade is to whisper another player with the information about the item you are interested in and wait for them to respond. It's all done through the in-game chat-window based on text messages. There is no other form of support for trading in this game.
