beekeeper
Swarm Beekeeper is an orchestrator that can manage a cluster of Bee nodes and call into their API. It allows various scenario’s to be performed on these nodes. The Swarm team uses Beekeeper internally for integration tests.
There were two versions of the Bee client released in the last month. It is important to mention that node operators are requested to update to the latest version (1.7.0) as soon as possible because there was a change in the protocol.
Since then, several new updates were released, and the latest version is 0.15.1, also available from the website. Some of the issues that are mentioned above are already fixed or mitigated, and the team continues to work on polishing the app towards a 1.0 release in the future.
There was a new version (5.0.0) of Bee-js released. This is a breaking release that brings support for Bee 1.7 and cleans up some long awaited breaking changes that we had lined up. For the full release notes please check this link.
There was a lot of work put into the Bee Dashboard, which is also used as the UI component of the Desktop app. There were efforts made to modularize it even more, so that later, it can be used in standalone mode in the Desktop app and also in the Swarm Browser Extension. Also many of the fixes of the Desktop UI/UX related issues landed here and were released. The latest version is 0.18.2
Blossom continues to be developed and is scheduled for August release. Thus far we started fdp-storage interface design in Blossom and the initial CI configurations.
Work has started on fdp-cli which will be a command line application that handles pods/directories & files.
Fairdrive is being migrated from FairOS to fdp-storage which is the FairOS implementation in Javascript. Thus far we’ve completed the registration and login flows which includes the ENS Contract login mentioned previously.
