  • dovi_tool

dovi_tool is a CLI tool combining multiple utilities for working with Dolby Vision.

  • For Dolby Vision, the easiest way is just keep the original file. But i have seen things here and there about converting video and maintaining DV, albeit ive never really sunk my teeth into it because it does not look simple. this talks about it but is a bit cryptic and doesnt seem to explain everything unless i just cant read. here is a tool that claims to do stuff with DV metadata and may be able to help. as i said, havent tried this so dont know how well it works, if at all, and it definitely doesnt look super automated sorry.
